Jaime Orovic is a litigation paralegal at Aboulafia Law Firm LLC. Jaime is experienced in using NYSCEF, CM/ECF and PACER for e-filing legal documents and conducting legal research using Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis.
Before joining Aboulafia Law Firm, Jaime was a Litigation Paralegal with Silverman Shin & Schneider, PLLC (formerly Silverman Shin & Byrne, PLLC) in the Firm’s Insurance Defense Department. Jaime’s duties consisted of creating answers, discovery demands and responses and closing documents; e-filing documents; drafting responses to written discovery, replies to document demands and responses to requests for admission; and analyzing adversaries’ written discovery responses to determine whether followup was needed for more specific responses.
Jaime’s other duties included communicating with outside counsel in the production and management of discovery, preparing summaries on received discovery, and helping prepare any discovery-related motions.
In addition, Jaime procured all medical, employment, Social Security and employment records. Jaime also prepared motions related to discovery and conducted legal research. Jamie kept an update of litigation files by creating, maintaining and updating a master case spreadsheet for the Firm.
Prior to that, Jaime served as a Paralegal/Legal Secretary with Aaronson, Rappaport, Feinstein & Deutsch, LLP in the Firm’s Medical Malpractice Department. Jamie handled all aspects of preparing, revising, processing and filing in the field of medical malpractice and product liability actions for the Ford Motor Company.
Jamie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a National Scholastic Writing Award at Hunter College, and a Paralegal Certificate from Westchester Community College.
